The day’s festivities will include guest speakers, music, a Piper, free hotdogs and hamburgers, military vehicle exhibits, a starting gun ‘boom’ using an authentic WWII Canadian anti-tank gun, and of course, walking shoulder to shoulder with your fellow Canadians.

Cheryl Belanger
Chief Warrant Officer Cheryl Belanger joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2003 as a Medical Technician. She has been posted to various locations including Edmonton, AB (twice), Ottawa, ON, Wainwright, AB, and Borden, ON. Throughout her career, she has deployed on numerous tours including as a Role 1 Med Tech on Op ARCHER in Afghanistan, as the “Mini Doc” at Canadian Forces Station ALERT, as a member of DART on Op HESTIA in Haiti and as the Medical Training Group Sergeant Major on Op UNIFIER in Ukraine. There were also domestic operations, including as Senior Medical Technician for Op NANOOK in Nunavut and numerous training exercises, providing real-time medical coverage. Her most recent highlight includes the promotion and appointment as Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre Chief Warrant Officer where she strives to be a great example for all staff and students.
Chief Warrant Officer Belanger has been selected as a member of Team Canada for Invictus Games 2025 and is enjoying the journey of team and self development through her training camps. Her lifelong lesson is that there is always a positive side to every situation, even in the darkest times. She lives with her service spouse, Marc and their 8-year-old twin boys, Jake and Thomas.
