TEAM LEADS
Dan Hansen, CD
Dan began his career in 1998 as a Medical Assistant in the primary reserve while pursuing a college program in Police Foundations. In 2001, he transitioned to the regular force as a Military Police member, embarking on a 14-year career that took him across the country and abroad. Despite his dedication and achievements, Dan faced personal challenges, including PTSD, which led to his release from service in 2016, ending his dream of serving the community in a military capacity.
In 2019, Dan reinvented himself as an entrepreneur. His journey has been greatly supported by incredible veteran programs, which have provided him with the strength and resources to keep moving forward. Today, he continues to support others, drawing on his experiences and resilience to make a positive impact.
Trevor Kearley, CD
I was born in Newfoundland 51 years ago and always dreamed of being a soldier or police officer. Due to a color deficiency, I couldn’t pursue policing, so I joined the military at 23 after some college. I served as a radio operator, later known as a signal’s operator, for 12 years, including a deployment to Bosnia.
After my military career, I trained as an electrician and worked in Cold Lake. I’ve had various roles since, including in the oil field, as a business owner, and with PSP at 4 Wing Cold Lake.
I’ve faced challenges, including a PTSD diagnosis, but I’m committed to improving my mental health and helping fellow veterans and service members find a fulfilling life after military service.
