I proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 20 years, in both the Army and the Air Force, retiring in March 2025. Earlier this year, I had the incredible honour of representing Canada at the Invictus Games 2025, competing in swimming and wheelchair curling as part of an all-women’s team. The Games were a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and community that veterans share.

Since my release, I’ve continued to serve in a different way — as a volunteer with OSISS (Operational Stress Injury Social Support) in Petawawa. In this role, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges veterans and their families face. Many carry invisible wounds from service, including physical injuries, operational stress, and the daily adjustments of civilian life. Supporting these veterans and their loved ones has become a central focus of my post-military life.
