Jenn Lusby

Jenn Lusby

Jenn Lusby is a seasoned fundraising professional who thrives at the intersection of partnerships, innovation, and social impact. She is passionate about building meaningful collaborations that drive positive change across Canada. In her role as Senior Manager, Development with True Patriot Love Foundation, she supports national fundraising initiatives that benefit the military community—work that is especially meaningful to her given her personal connection to the military. Jenn grew up near 17 Wing Winnipeg, where both of her parents worked as civilians on the base, giving her an early appreciation for the military community and its impact.

She believes that collaboration and shared values are the foundation of transformative impact. An experienced public speaker and natural connector, she has served as President of We Believe in Winnipeg Toastmasters and as Master of Ceremonies for the United Way GenNext Summit for two consecutive years.

As a lifelong learner with a passion for business and corporate governance, she recently completed her MBA at Royal Roads University and is currently undertaking the Directors Education Program through the Institute of Corporate Directors.

She also brings extensive governance experience, serving as Immediate Past Chair of the Board for Manitoba Possible and as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Easter Seals Canada, where she helps shape national strategies that support people with disabilities. In 2024, she had the honour of testifying before the House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women, contributing to the national conversation on women’s economic empowerment.

Outside of her nonprofit work, she is co-owner of Krazy’s Car Clinic, which she runs with her husband.

Kiernan Underwood

Kiernan Underwood

Corporal Kiernan Underwood retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after more than 20 years of dedicated service, the majority of which he spent with 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (3 PPCLI). A Materials Technician by trade, he built a career defined by technical expertise, operational excellence, and an unwavering commitment to his teammates.

In 2008, Kiernan deployed to Afghanistan as part of the Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT), working alongside the Afghan National Army during high-intensity combat operations. His actions under fire earned him a Mention in Dispatches, recognizing his courage, professionalism, and devotion to duty.

Recognized for his skill in complex environments, Kiernan later served as an Advanced Mountain Operations instructor, where he trained Canadian Armed Forces members in technical climbing, vertical rescue, and survival in extreme terrain. His ability to lead and teach in high-risk settings became a hallmark of his career.

In 2025, he continued his leadership journey as Co-Captain of Team Canada at the Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler, where he inspired and supported fellow ill and injured veterans on the world stage.

Following his military service, Kiernan transitioned to focus on recovery, personal growth, and entrepreneurial pursuits, including the development of his business, “Soak and Recover,” supporting athletes and veterans in post-activity recovery.
